Jon Polenz founded OwnerCo after successfully building and selling a commercial service business to a private equity group.
He helped the parent company grow to over $100M of revenue through add-on acquisitions. In the process, he realized he wanted to help other business owners achieve the same type of great outcome for themselves and their businesses.
Jon founded OwnerCo after successfully building and selling Ecoteam, a commercial pest control company that operates in Austin, San Antonio, DFW, and Houston. Jon stayed on at the new parent company, PestCo, as one of the first executives and members of the Board of Directors. He helped grow the company to over $100M of annual revenue in 18 months through add-on acquisitions, making PestCo a top 15 pest control company in the U.S. according to PCT Magazine.
Jon lives in Austin with his family and is active in the community. He has been awarded the Golden Hammer award from Habitat for Humanity for his community service, and he is also a member of YPO (Young President's Organization), an influential networking and educational organization for business leaders.
Jon is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor and an active member of AM&AA, the leading international organization for Middle Market M&A professionals.
Jon is an Advisor to Halogen Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund investing in consumer technology companies led by women. Halogen has invested in over 70 portfolio companies that have generated over $10 Billion in market value.
Jon servs on the Board of Directors of PestCo, a portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners. PestCo operates nation-wide and has over $100M of annual revenue, making it the 15th largest pest control in the U.S.

Jon loves meeting and talking with other business leaders. Prior to starting OwnerCo, he produced a business podcast and Emmy-nominated video series that featured interviews with founders, CEOs, business owners, and business leaders including Mark Cuban, Sheryl Sandberg, Jessica Alba, and Ted Turner.
He gained important insights being in the room with these business people at the top of their games, and OwnerCo is a way for Jon to keep talking with business leaders, every day.
