As the founder of Buxton Management LLC, John provides specialized M&A advisory services for roofing companies, guiding owners through acquisition opportunities and private equity transactions with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes. Through Options2Exit, he works with business owners to evaluate their company’s worth, implement growth strategies, and plan exits that align with their long-term goals while safeguarding employees and client relationships. Previously, John served as CEO and owner of a Top 100 U.S. Roofing Company, where he oversaw both residential and commercial divisions, built strong vendor and subcontractor networks, and expanded operations regionally before selling the business to a private equity buyer. His hands-on experience managing day-to-day operations and scaling a service business equips him with a unique perspective that informs his advisory work today. John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from The Ohio State University and maintains active industry engagement as a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association and Midwest Roofing Contractors Association. He also holds certifications including GAF Master Select Commercial Roofing Contractor, GAF Certified Maintenance Professional, and CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster.
